If you are a fan of the Marvel TV series on Netflix, I am sure you are caught up on all of the shows, including the recently released The Defenders series. If you haven't finished yet then maybe you should stop reading cause SPOILERS ARE COMING. If you are fine with spoilers are have seen the entire season, then we have some great news for you.
The last time we saw Misty Knight (Simone Missick), the savvy and beautiful NYPD detective lost her arm in her attempt to save Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) from Bakuto (Ramón Rodríguez). As the first season of The Defenders concluded, we see Misty recovering in a hospital room paid for by Danny Rand, well thanks the photo above from Luke Cage season 2, we know exactly what they did to her while she was there.
As with her comic book counter part, Misty Knight will now be sporting a bionic arm. What we have yet to find out is how she gets this new powerful limb and what exactly she can do with it. In the comics, the arm is given to her by none other than Tony Stark himself, however, in the Netflix series it is doubtful that they will stick to that origin story. Instead, is seems as though Danny Rand (Finn Jones) a.k.a. Iron Fist will use his money and influence to heal up our favorite NYC detective.
The other unknown is the enhancements the arm will feature. In comics, the arm gives Misty super strength and has a wide selection of weaponry to chose from. This will most likely not be the case for the MCU version. At most, the arm should give her enhanced strength which still makes her hard to defeat given her natural skills and her partnerships with the likes of Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist.
As filming for Luke Cage season 2 continues, we should learn more about Misty's new arm and more. Meanwhile, The Defenders is now streaming on Netflix and The Punisher season 1 arrives later this fall. Premiere dates for the new seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist have yet to be announced.
